Susan attended the University of South Carolina for undergraduate studies. She was a member of multiple honors societies and a Dean’s List recipient. She received her Juris Doctor from Charlotte School of Law. Susan was honored as a Dean’s List recipient and graduated with Pro Bono Honors. Susan was admitted to practice law in North Carolina in 2013 and South Carolina in 2014. She is a member of the Florence County Bar, Marion County Bar, and the South Carolina Women Lawyers Association. After law school, Susan served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Thomas A. Russo. She also worked at a small firm in Rock Hill, South Carolina for a brief time. Susan has been employed for the Twelfth Judicial Circuit Solicitor’s Office as an Assistant Solicitor for several years. She prosecuted cases in Magistrates Court as well as violent and serious crimes in General Sessions Court.
Susan has been a guest speaker at Francis Marion University and Limestone College. For the past three years, she has been a presenter at a legal educational training for Magistrate and Municipal Court Judges where she provided updates in the law on domestic violence. In 2018, she was a guest on the Armstrong Williams Show. She discussed the nomination of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
In her leisure time, Susan enjoys spending time with her family, boxing, reading, and attending Carolina football games. Susan also prides herself in serving the underserved and is actively involved in several community service and mentoring projects. Her practice areas are Personal Injury, Criminal Law, and Family Law.
